AI Upskilling Central Island is designed for small business owners, entrepreneurs, solopreneurs, nonprofits, managers, team leaders and key employees. It is particularly relevant for people involved in administration, operations, marketing, communications, research, planning or other work where AI could improve efficiency or productivity. The program is best suited to early-to-intermediate AI users, but motivated beginners are welcome. Frequently Asked Questions Do I need previous experience using AI? No. You may already be experimenting with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Microsoft Copilot and want to get more value from them, or you may be earlier in your AI journey and looking for a practical way to build your skills. The program is designed primarily for early-to-intermediate users, while remaining accessible to motivated beginners. No advanced technical or AI knowledge is required. What will I need? Participants will need access to a computer and a generative AI platform such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. You should also bring one real, low-risk task, workflow or piece of work that you would like to improve during the program. Do I need a paid AI account? A paid AI account is strongly recommended because some practical business features may be limited on free plans. Paid plans may also provide additional privacy and data-control options. Participants should avoid sharing confidential, sensitive or personal information unless they understand how their chosen AI platform handles that data. Is this just a ChatGPT course? No. The program is about AI fluency, not becoming an expert in one particular platform. Tools may include ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot and other relevant AI technologies. The goal is to understand how to work effectively with generative AI so that the skills you build remain useful even as individual tools change.
